그래도 아직 집에 책장을 가지고 있어서 책이 몇 권 꽃혀 있는데, 간혹 책을 스르륵 둘러보다 보면 언제 구입을 했는지 기억이 나지 않는 책이 있다.
Linux System Administration…20년 이상된 책인 것 같은데, 기억이 나질 않는다. 아마 하숙집 어느 구석에서 널부러져 있던 녀석을 내가 가져온 것 일 수도 있겠다.
놓아둔 곳에 햇볕이 잘 드는 곳이라 표지 색상이 다소 바랜 느낌이고, 그래서 인지 그리 잘 쓰여진 책은 아닐 것이라 선입견이 있었는데, 한 번펼펴보니 의외의….번역본이고 원저자는 정확히 무엇을 하는 사람인지는 확인을 하지 않았다.
일단 책 제본의 만듦새가 좋다. 종이의 품질이 생각보다 두껍고 매끄럽니다. 인쇄의 상태나 재단의 표면이 매끈하다..맘에 든다. 800페이지 정도 되는 책이 이런 모습이니..자꾸 손이 간다.
리눅스 시스템 어드미니스테…아..LinuxSystem Administration을 공부중이다. 20년전 출시된 리눅스를 기준으로 만든 것이라 현재의 버젼과는 꽤나 차이가 많을 줄 알았는데..기본적인 명령어와 시스템의 구성 체계는 거의 동일하다. 집에서도 Ubuntu 최신 버젼을 second 컴에 설치해 사용하고 있어…도움이 많이 되고 있다.
